Axlab Auto Slide Preparation System for Automatic Sectioning of Parffin Blocks, The system has an Input feeding unit of 4x 24 blocks on a sample tray, a Main trimming unit and sectioning the blocks placing the speimens on glass slides and finally a Drying unit storing and Drying the slides before they can be unloaded.

The characteristics of the system are as follows:

• Uniform section thickness and mounting position

• Block feeding by robotic function

• Automatic measurement of the block surface and the tilt angle

• A unique conveying method of section by plastic film with static electricity

• Glass slide printing function

Device configuration is changeable according to the customer requests and needs.

Optional characteristics are:

• The system can trim the blocks using the Automatic Facing unit (FS), which takes a photo after trimming and decides whether further trimming is needed.

• Automatic exchange of microtome blades using the Quality Assessment unit (DB), which registers if blade marks appear on the sectioned specimens.

• The systems built-in glass slide printer can be connected to a LIS system by using the Expansion package for connection to external computer (LK-400).

• The Sample Management Unit (BR) creates the link between the glass slide and the original paraffin block.

• The system can monitor the surface temperature of the block using the Block Surface Temperature Detection Unit (BF) and prevent it from sectioning the block if it has a temperature above the optimal level.

• The Dual slide mounting unit (TM) allows the system to deposit up to two specimens on one glass slide.
