The TES 99 is a reliable and robust three-piece paraffi n embedding center, consisting of units for heating, dispensing and cooling of tissue samples in paraffi n. The units can be arranged individually in order to optimize the work process for personal preferences, e.g. to optimize for left-handed operation. Each unit works independently with own temperature control, and can therefore be used as a single device in the laboratory. The work surfaces are designed ergonomically to prevent fatigue after long periods of use.

The dispenser unit has a very large paraffin tank with a capacity of 5.7 liters. Paraffin can be dispensed from the outlet tap either manually or by foot switch. Blocks that already solidified can be placed onto the flat heated outlet tap to be melted again. Excess paraffin on the cassettes can be scraped off in the designated rippled area on the work surface.

An adjustable LED lamp is included on the dispenser unit to illuminate the dispensing area. Magnifying glass (available seperately) can be attached to the lamp. Four connections for heated forceps and six forceps slots are easily accessible around the outlet tap. The large square cooling point is in the middle. It reaches down to -5 °C. Excess paraffi n is caught in a drawer under the dispenser during operation to keep the surrounding area clean.

The cooling unit off ers space for up to 110 paraffi n blocks that can be cooled at a maximum freezing temperature of -15 °C on the stainless steel surface.

The heating unit has a spacious preheating chamber for embedding molds as well as a cassette depot with removable cassette container made of stainless steel. Embedding cassettes and almost any type of sample baskets can be accommodated in it. The cassette depot is closed with a cover that can be opened and closed to ensure temperature stability.

In addition to its attractive design, the TES 99 also impresses with its high functionality and quality. Insulated hand rests allow you to work comfortably even when used for a longer period of time. The housing is made of powder-coated, easyto- clean sheet metal.
